ABC: Google gets 12,000 requests to be “forgotten” on first day

A shame Google demands precisely the sort of information one would want to be expunged… in order to authorise expungance (if indeed that is a word?)… Wonder where the request information will be filed and what excuse will be made for retaining that?

Actually storing the ID card details is illegal and is against the ID personality-law in Germany. Next week the commissioners for data protection and freedom of information of different states are going to discuss what to do about this. We (German Pirate Party) are following this…
