Last night the Policy Development Committee voted through and confirmed its proposals for Congress this year. The proposals being put are as follows (alphabetical order):
- Constitutional Reform (new policy) — http://pirateparty.org.au/wiki/PDC:_Constitutional_Reform_Policy
- Copyright (amendments) — http://pirateparty.org.au/wiki/PDC:_copyright_insert
- Education (replacement) — http://pirateparty.org.au/wiki/PDC:_Education_Policy_version_2
- Energy, Environment and Climate Change (replacement) — http://pirateparty.org.au/wiki/PDC:_Energy,_Environment_and_Climate_Change_Policy
- Privacy (amendment) — http://pirateparty.org.au/wiki/PDC:_Privacy_tort_working_group
- Tax and Welfare (replacement) — http://pirateparty.org.au/wiki/PDC:_Tax_and_Welfare_Policy_version_2
Each of these will now be debated further at Congress in Brisbane on July 19–20, and then be voted on by the membership during the customary seven-day online voting period.
If you wish to make amendments, the procedure is to keep a record of what you want to change and then propose the amendments at Congress. Please do not modify the documents. They are unprotected so that the PDC can fix any spelling, formatting or referencing errors. Any other changes will be rolled back.
However, feel free to discuss changes here.
