Slate Star Codex is always excellent.

I wouldn’t necessarily cast Thrive/Survive as Left/Right, but it does fit the American context of the political median being to the right of the liberals, not just the leftists.

PPAU is obviously well out on the Thrive side of the spectrum - I think a more interesting question would be whether we have any policies that are more Survive than average?
