likely not. Assange is forced to stay put until he gets a guarantee from the UK that he won’t be extradited to the US for his publishing work. It’s the only reason he is there and why he was granted asylum status by Ecuador in the first place. Until the situation is resolved diplomatically, unfortunately he is stuck.
This week, I wrote to the PM and to the Minister of Foreign Affairs to urge them to finally give sound diplomatic assistance.
