Foreign fighter laws and roll-out-the-welcome-mat laws both strike me as questionable. Why not just subject returning islamist fighters to the same legal obligations and protections as everyone else?
For Denmark - of all places - to show that kind of openness to islamists is certainly impressive on some levels. It’ll be very interesting to watch how it goes…
