Submission: JSCOT China-Australia FTA [due 24 July 2015]

The Joint Standing Committee on Treaties (‘JSCOT’) is conducting an inquiry into the proposed ratification of the Free Trade Agreement between the Government of Australia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China (‘CAFTA’). Details are available here.

CAFTA contains the usual: provisions on intellectual property, investment and the environment. These are issues which we usually make submissions to JSCOT about when dealing with free trade agreements.

Depending on available time, a submission may be made. For the time being, if you would like to contribute, please place your notes here. It is due on 24 July 2015. If you have questions or comments, this thread is the best place to ask or make them.
